Course Overview

This one-day course gives you a clear, practical introduction to Microsoft 365, Microsoft 365 Copilot, and AI powered agents. It covers the core services, key features, and the basic administrative concepts that every new Microsoft 365 user or future administrator should understand.

The course is split into two learning paths and is ideal for anyone who wants to build confidence with Microsoft 365 and Copilot—no prior technical or admin experience required. It offers a high-level overview of Microsoft 365 features and technologies. It does not cover administrative tasks or configurations.

This course is designed for beginning-level technical IT professionals and novice administrators who are seeking a foundational understanding of Microsoft 365 services and Microsoft 365 Copilot. It is suitable for learners who want to understand the essential components, concepts, and capabilities required to utilise and manage Microsoft 365, Copilot, and agents, without the need for prior hands-on administrative experience.

This course is delivered by virtual classroom. Virtual classrooms are equivalent to face-to-face classroom courses, but delivered in an online environment.

You’ll learn how Microsoft 365 is structured, how security and data protection fit into the platform, and what good governance looks like in a modern cloud environment. The course also introduces Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot agents, showing how AI can automate everyday tasks, support collaboration, and deliver more personalised user experiences across the apps your organisation already uses.

You will need access to internet, a windows computer and webcam/microphone.

By the end of this course, learners will be able to:

  • Describe the core services and key components of Microsoft 365.
  • Explain fundamental administrative controls used within Microsoft 365 environments.
